Jenks David Britt

Executive Director, Mission Solutions & Services Group, ManTech

    J. David “TUBA” Britt leads ManTech’s largest program integrating new intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) sensors and electronic warfare systems into the U.S. Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft. Mr. Britt is a leader in IT enterprise architecture strategic positioning, IT portfolio management, enterprise deal negotiations, Customer-Centric Selling (CCS) methodology, team building and high-impact sales presentations. He is an agile development champion, top-notch reseller and vital trailblazer who has been helping to develop ManTech’s technical future since joining the company in May 2019.

    A U.S. Naval Academy graduate and Navy veteran, Mr. Britt served for 25 years leading national defense teams to mission success. During his military career, Mr. Britt served as a Surface Warfare Officer, a P-3C Orion Mission Commander and a leader at every level. His impressive career includes being hand-selected as the Navy’s Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft, Chief Technical Officer, where he directed the transition of the Navy’s TacMobile network backbone from the P-3 Orion surveillance aircraft to the P-8 Poseidon and MQ-4C Triton UAV.

    Mr. Britt also had the privilege of establishing of the Navy’s first high altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) advanced concept technical demonstration (ACTD), the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance – Demonstrator (BAMS-D). While serving
    as the program’s Officer in Charge, he deployed a team of 24 military and 48 contractors, supporting the Navy’s first-ever RQ-4A BAMS-D UAV deployment to the Persian Gulf region.

    As a Navy Captain (O-6), Mr. Britt served on the staff of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness, as the deputy director of Training Transformation and New Technology, where he was the defense policy adviser to President Barak Obama for the formulation and execution of Department of Defense distance education policies.

    Mr. Britt’s final military tour was as a Navy Networks Chief Technical Officer. There he directed large-scale acquisitions of IaaS, SaaS and PaaS for the Navy’s Impact Level 5 secure cloud program, housing what is considered the Defense Department’s most sensitive
