The Promise of 2025 (or at least 2030)

Military leaders are excited about the promise of future technologies. Senior leaders have expressed interest and made at least minimal investments in augmented reality, block chain, robotics, biometrics, deep fakes, 5G, hypersonic weapons, directed energy and nanosatellites.  What are the most promising technologies on the horizon and what is expected to make the biggest difference? How can military leaders ensure these programs come to fruition and how do officials need to think differently about developing these programs versus technology programs of the past?
